Souss-Massa National Park
Protected coastal wetlands and river estuary south of Agadir — home to endangered bald ibises, flamingos, Barbary macaques and Africa's last remaining coastal argan forests
Highlights
- Northern Bald Ibis: Morocco hosts the world's last wild colony of critically endangered bald ibises — roughly 100 birds nest near Tamri, just north of the park, visible year-round
- Flamingo Estuary: The Oued Souss and Oued Massa estuaries attract thousands of flamingos, spoonbills and waders — most beautiful at dawn when the birds are most active
- Wild Coastline Beach: The park's Atlantic coast is completely undeveloped — broad wild beach with argan forest dunes, virtually empty even in high season
